At the heart of the voyage lies a rare celestial event: a Total Solar Eclipse. For more than five (5) minutes, day will turn to night as the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, revealing the solar corona and transforming the sky into a spectacle that has captivated humanity for millennia. Witnessing totality is more than observing an astronomical event. It is an experience that reshapes perspective and reminds us of our place within a far larger story.

EXPERIENCE THE ANCIENT & COSMIC
Your journey begins in Darwin, Australia, where we embark aboard Scenic Eclipse II and set course for one of the most remote and spectacular coastlines on Earth.
Over the next ten days, we will explore the Kimberley, a vast wilderness of towering sandstone cliffs, winding river systems, hidden gorges, waterfalls, ancient landscapes, and rich Aboriginal cultural heritage. Each day reveals a new perspective on a region shaped by immense geological forces and tens of thousands of years of human history.
Midway through the journey, we will experience one of nature’s most extraordinary spectacles: a Total Solar Eclipse. Positioned within the path of totality, the day will transform into twilight as the Moon completely obscures the Sun, revealing its ethereal corona. For 5 unforgettable minutes, the ancient landscapes of the Kimberley and the celestial mechanics of the cosmos come together in a truly rare moment of exploration and wonder.
With Zodiacs, kayaks, helicopters, and expert expedition leaders guiding our way, we venture deep into places inaccessible by road, exploring remote waterways, secluded beaches, dramatic escarpments, and some of Australia’s most extraordinary natural wonders. Opportunities to encounter wildlife, discover ancient rock art, and experience the immense scale of the Kimberley unfold throughout the voyage.
Following disembarkation in Broome, guests may continue onward journeys or extend their stay in Western Australia.

- King George River – Kimberley’s highest twin waterfalls, one of Australia’s most dramatic landscapes.
- Vansittart Bay – Known for its Aboriginal rock art galleries, secluded beaches, and rugged sandstone escarpments.
- Swift Bay – Kimberley’s finest Gwion Gwion rock art hidden among ancient sandstone formations.
- Mitchell Falls – A spectacular four-tiered waterfall cascading through layered sandstone, regarded as one of the Kimberley’s most iconic natural wonders.
- Ashmore Reef – Pristine coral atoll surrounded by turquoise waters, renowned for its rich marine biodiversity, seabirds, and vibrant reef ecosystems.
- Careening Bay – Historic anchorage where explorer Phillip Parker King repaired his vessel in 1820, marked today by the famous boab tree bearing his crew’s inscription.
- Montgomery Reef – One of the world’s largest inshore reefs, dramatically rising from the sea at low tide as waterfalls pour from the exposed reef platform.
- Horizontal Falls – Unique natural phenomenon where powerful tidal currents force seawater through narrow coastal gorges, creating the illusion of waterfalls flowing sideways.
- Lacepede Island – Remote archipelago that hosts one of Australia’s most important seabird breeding colonies and significant populations of sea turtles.
